At ICL, the Project Management course has enabled me with the knowledge of planning, implementing, and taking care of any project effectively. One big lesson of the course was the experiential knowledge of project management techniques like the Agile and PRINCE2. I was introduced to the structure of how to organize projects into manageable smaller steps which can be implemented and achieved, partition the roles of team members and employ tools such as Gantt charts and Trello boards to monitor the progress and to ensure a clean timeline.

These competencies have been applied in the process of the group project, which is an analytical undertaking of a startup termed, De Nature Glow, which specializes in coconut-based candles. In my project, I was the developer of the website through which a multidisciplinary team was used. The principles of project management helped us to be compatible, in order, and provide our objectives within the specified deadlines. The strategy of using such methods as sprint planning and monitor milestones allowed us to be well-centered and open to changes during the entire project process.
Being in a team environment also enhanced my communication abilities and collaborative skills, particularly when there is the need to organize various players like content makers, designers, and marketers. The experience showed that it was necessary to manage a project according to a clear plan and be flexible to react to feedback and changing objectives.
These project management skills will play a crucial role in helping me become an IT consultant or project manager in the future. Even further, I want to enhance my credentials by gaining PRINCE2 certification and implementing these best practices in internships and active work-related processes. Knowledge acquired during this course has given me the confidence and skills to undertake successful projects both in an academic and real-life setting.
