I believe growth is a continuous journey, and I am committed to developing the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to thrive in an ever-evolving professional landscape.

1. Emotional Intelligence (Empathy) Development

Again, I do not make it a priority to seek feedback; however, to increase my empathy, I hope to be more concerned with the emotions and unspoken worries of the colleagues and an advanced level of emotional maturity addressed in Chapter 1.

2. Anticipative Stress Management

I would wait at times until stress is accumulated before I can take action. To become more resilient, I suppose I will take an active approach to response to stress (e.g., journaling every day, mindfulness). This is emphasised by Whetten & Cameron in relation to development of skills on stress.

3. Self-Disclosure in a Team

Chapter 1 shows the need to have self-disclosure to create trust and teamwork. I will make an effort to communicate thoughts more freely within groups in order to increase the level of collaboration.

4. Application of Strategic Self-Assessment Tools

According to Whetten & Cameron, diagnostic methods (in terms of locus of control, tolerance to ambiguity etc.) should be applied first and then compared to the outside view. I will set an orderly evaluation procedure with peers to identify concealed blind spots.
